How to Apply for a Learning Licence Online
Fill Form on Sarathi Portal
Visit the official Sarathi Parivahan portal (sarathi.parivahan.gov.in), select your State, and choose "Application for New Learner Licence". If you have Aadhaar authentication enabled, you may be eligible to take the test directly from home without visiting an RTO office.
Upload Documents & Photo
Upload scanned copies of proof of age (Birth Certificate, Class 10 Certificate, Passport, PAN), proof of address (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Utility bill), and medical declaration (Form 1 / Form 1A).
Pay State Statutory Fees
Pay the required application and test fees online (generally ₹150 to ₹350 depending on your state and vehicle class, such as Motorcycle with Gear + LMV).
Pass Computer Test & Download LL
Appear for the 15–20 question multiple-choice computer test. Upon scoring passing marks, your digital Learner's Licence with QR code is immediately available for download.
